Abstract
In the process of handmade crystal production, the function of collecting the glass melted in the mouth of refractory ovens as well as the function of different, has been receiving attention because of the precariousness in which the glass is made by the workers in opposition to the delicate beauty of the final product of the work. This review paper intends to show that researches demonstrate the physiologic conditions of individuals exposed to high temperatures, associating them with conditions of energy expense, metabolic alteration, gain of heat by irradiation, low protection and the forms of heat loss to compensate this gain maintaining the real effectiveness of the thermoregulation function.
