Giving VDU (Visual Dispaly Unit) operators the possibility to support the forearms on the table top in front of them and operate the mouse with a more neutral position of the forearm, reduced the muscle load significantly. This was true for extensor digitorum communis, extensor carpi ulnaris and musculus trapezius. When applying this ergonomic solution, a corresponding reduction of pain in the upper part of the body was found.
