In this paper some selected problems of design for the safety of woodworking machines are considered. The computer aided design system is created for this purpose. Different engineering data bases are created for this task as well. A system of simulation of the hazard to the men cooperating with a woodworking machine is proposed. This system is designed for the AutoCAD system and works on an IBM PC computer. MS ACCESS is applied for data bases creation. A motion simulation and animation can be made in the system and 3D Studio system is applied for this task. Some design results are presented in the paper as well.
