Abstract
Before, the new technologies stability in the work was requested, today in addition requests adaptation to the new technologies. We also observed that the wage-earners of age barely are represented in the formation, existing stereotypes on the part of the employers and even of such interested on the motivation and the capacity to learn. The people of greater age need more time to arrive at a comparable level of results to the one the young people, presenting/displaying difficulties to manipulate the abstract and space material. When the tasks are complex and/or when the progression of the learning is fast the difficulties happen, nevertheless the learning is superior for the people of greater age when this it rests previously on acquired knowledge. The phenomena of the aging on the learning remain moderate until (towards) the 60 years (during the period of professional activity) and the inter-individual variability increases with the age. Concerning the learning and the formation he is advisable to associate the wage-earners in the way of the change, to apply a indicated pedagogy and to tranquilize the people of greater age in relation to the use and the situation of learning. To avoid an extreme specialization that would lock up to them in its activities and to make the really continuous formation during the professional course. It would be necessary reflections on the versatility and the conception of new tools to maintain the capacity to learn. These and other investigations would allow to affirm with greater force than the age does not constitute handicap necessarily and that the age people are perfectly able to learn when the methods are adapted.
