Abstract
The slow-moving vehicles (SMVs), mostly farm-vehicles are involved in more than 250 traffic accidents each year on Swedish roads. On average 10 people are being killed, 66 are serious and 267 slightly injured in road traffic accidents involving SMVs each year. To improve the situation actions needs to be taken to make the SMVs even more visible to other road users. It is also important that the driver of the SMV have good overview of the external traffic environment. Further research and development is needed to decrease the number of traffic accidents involving SMVs.
