Abstract
The influence of “Yukaza” posture, a sitting posture on the floor, on the physical stress and the mental relaxation was compared with that of sitting posture with chair. The results of EMGs showed that the levels of static activities in several muscles tended to be slightly higher in “Yukaza” than in the sitting on the chair. But the effects of “Yukaza” on the mental relaxation appeared with EEG and subjective rating, which was thought to be due to not only the posture but also the distance between the eye level and the floor.
