Abstract
The Product Safety and Testing Group has produced a series of handbooks containing comprehensive anthropometric data for use by product designers. Many of the data on children are over 20 years old and some concern has been expressed regarding their validity for continued use in product design. Research has been undertaken to compare these data to the latest available for the UK and US to determine what changes in body sizes have occurred over this time period. Implications for the continued use of these data in the design process are considered.
