Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the content validity of the Test of Orientation for Rehabilitation Patients (TORP). Content validity was examined at both the item and domain levels using an interdisciplinary group of 11 content experts. At the item level, percent agreement with the intended domain and item-objective congruence were evaluated in tandem. At the domain level, Lu's coefficient of agreement was calculated. Results of the analyses provided moderate to strong support for the retention of 46 of the TORP's 49 items and for grouping the items by domain of orientation. This study exemplified a quantitative approach to the examination of content validity using content experts.
