The authors report a case of an aneurysm of the inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) associated with an aneurysm of the right internal iliac artery. Resection of both aneurysms was performed through a laparotomy and a retroperitoneal approach. Some aspects of the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of the IMA aneurysms are discussed.
