A case of vertebral arteriovenous fistula (AVF) after a stab wound is pre sented. There was a continuous and loud bruit and thrill on the left side of the patient's neck at physical examination. The neurologic examination revealed no abnormality. An arteriogram showed a left vertebral AVF at the level of C-6. The AVF was closed and the vertebral artery was ligated proximally. The patient was discharged asymtomatic, without cervical bruit.
