A technique for sutureless anastamosis of the rat carotid arteries using Neodymium-YAG laser is described. It has certain advantages over the con ventional suture technique and potential application in human extra- intracranial bypass surgery.
Techniques for the repair of injuries to small arteries1 and end-to-end microvascular anastamosis 2 have been described previously. A technique for sutureless end-to-side laser anastamosis has been developed now.
