Microvascular bypass surgery for occlusive cerebral vascular disease has aroused considerable interest in the past decade. This interest has been accompanied by considerable experience. Improvements in the technique, together with experience, has refined the indications for the procedure and made us aware of the complications of bypass surgery for occlusive cerebral vascular disease.
