The present study investigated the impact of acculturation on the learning styles of 151 Hispanic students enrolled in a Hispanic Serving Institution in South Texas, controlling for age, gender, and country of origin. Acculturation did not significantly predict learning style when controlling for these three variables. These results may be because of a lack of association between acculturation and learning style or differential acculturation in the sociopersonal and educational realms.
Controlando edad, género y país de origen este estudio investigó el impacto de aculturación en los estilos de aprendizaje de 151 estudiantes hispanos registrados en una institución que sirve a hispanos en el sur deTexas.Aculturación no predijo significativamente el estilo de aprendizaje cuando se controlaron estas tres variables. Los resultados pueden deberse a la falta de asociación entre aculturación y estilo de aprendizaje o a diferente aculturación en el contexto sociopersonal y educacional.
