Abstract
The Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-Revised and the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale-Fourth Edition were administered to 66 elementary students referred because of concern for learning progress. Mean PPVT-R performance was significantly below mean performance on all SB:FE area scores except memory. Pearson productmoment and partial correlations indicated the importance of the PPVT-R's relationship with the SB:FE verbal area score. Use of the PPVT-R to screen for SB:FE performance was discussed.
