Abstract
One hundred and six students were required to administer the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test—Revised (PPVT—R) to the instructor as the culminating exercise in a course in psychoeducational testing. Only 29.2 percent of the students were able to successfully administer the PPVT—R error free. Errors included the mispronunciation of stimulus words, failure to find the highest basal, failure to find the lowest ceiling, and inaccuracies in calculating the scores. It would appear that a one semester course is not sufficient to adequately prepare special education teachers with the necessary skills to be proficient test administrators.
