Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the past 50 years of Assessment for Effective Intervention and its impact on the field of special education. We take this opportunity to celebrate the contributions of the journal’s authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, we introduce a special series where past editors were invited to reflect on their tenure and re-introduce an article from their time as editor. The re-introductions will appear across several issues. Finally, we discuss our continued commitment to fostering scholarly dialogue and scientific inquiry.
