Abstract
The "myth" of how music works as a therapeutic enhancement to healing becomes a reality, empirically measurable in physiological parameters by applying princi ples of quantum physics and psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) to current research findings. A theoretical relationship is developed between the quantum properties of music, the musician, the listener, and physical indices of health. Within these dimensions, a path for understanding how music works, and for understanding the relevance of holistic physical manifestations of health and disease in response to music, is started.
