Abstract

The Executive Editor became aware of potential image duplication and manipulation concerns by Pubpeer Post. The concerns raised were:
Figure 2C1 scratch panel at 0 hour of cell line H1650 which is duplicated to scratch panel 24 hour of cell line A 549.
Due to the nature of the concern, Sage requested the authors to comment on the issue raised on Pupeeer and to provide unedited images, raw data underlying the original figures for verification. The authors provided the data and explained that an incorrect image was placed due to mislabeling Upon further investigation, Sage have identified that the indicators of unauthorized third-party involvement during the submission and/or peer review process underlying the publication of this article.
Due to concerns about the authenticity of the research, the Executive Editor retracts this article.
