Sage was made aware of concerns raised on PubPeer regarding the following figures in the article:

Figure 2E (Transwell assay to detect invasion capacity of PANC-1 cells transfected with si-BANCR2) appears to contain similarities with Figure 4G (Cell migration of PANC-1 cells transfected with si-BANCR1 measured with transwell assay)

Figure 2F (Transwell assay to detect migration capacity of PANC-1 cells transfected with si-BANCR2) appears to contain similarities with Figure 4G (Cell migration of PANC-1 cells transfected with miR-NC measured with transwell assay) after rotation

Figure 5A-D (Western blots) appear to contain similarities with Figure 5B, 5F and 5G (Western blots) in a retracted article by a different author group ¹

The authors responded to the concerns to explain that some errors occurred during the figure assembly process which led to the misuse of images. The authors provided raw images for these figures, but concerns remained regarding overlap.

Following review by the Journal Editor and due to unresolved concerns about image integrity that call into question the validity of the findings, this article has been retracted.

The authors did not respond to the decision to retract.
