Abstract
A patented process is used to produce barium sulphate filled polyurethane elastomers using a mechanical frothing technique. The frothed mixture is coated on the underside of the car carpet and cured in an oven. Cup densities ranging from 0,7 to 2 kg/l are used to apply typically 1,0 to 4,0 kg/m2 add-on weight.
