Abstract
Samples of synthetic materials, different as far as the type and amount of impreg nant are concerned were prepared. The impregnants used were polyurethane, poly-vinyl, and collagen types. Structure and some functional qualities of synthetic leather samples were investigated. An attempt to find out the relations between the type of an impregnant used and the method of impregnation employed on the one hand and the resultant structure and functional qualities of synthetic leather, on the other hand, was undertaken.
