Samples of polypropylene fibers treated with Sandoflam 5070 flame retardant were evaluated for toxicity of pyrolysis gases. The addition of Sandoflam 5070 to this poly propylene material appeared to have no substantial effect on pyrolysis gas toxicity under these particular test conditions. Car bon monoxide appeared to have been the principal toxicant in all the experiments. No unusual toxic effects were observed.
