Abstract
Polyester yarns coated with a vinyl plastisol con taining an unactivated foaming agent may be woven into fabrics which are heat finished causing the vinyl to expand into a foam structure and causing the yarns to flatten. These fabrics are stable due to strong bonding at yarn crossover points, lightweight, have good coverage with very open constructions, and retain most of the other properties of those fabrics made from non-foam vinyl/ polyester yarns.
