Abstract
A discussion of the factors which have produced the remarkable growth in the use of polyurethane-coated fabrics, and of the factors which influence their properties.
The latter includes a description of the various techniques used in the manufacture of PU-coated fabrics and of the way in which variations in manufacturing techniques can affect the finished products.
This is integrated with a description of the basic properties of polyurethane-coated fabrics such as scuff resistance, flexing endurance, last fastness and permeability.
