Abstract
A shaped, double walled segment was woven as a three- dimensional fluted core fabric. Coating of such a non-planar structure could not be accomplished by conventional means, but when coated with a paint roll, it was successfully inflated. The feasibility of this approach to the production of a double walled inflatable structure has been demon strated. Better coating methods need to be developed.
