Abstract
This report provides an overview of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations White Paper released in 2002, which focused on addressing the evolving nursing crisis. Key content elements and recommendations embedded in the report are delineated. In addition, those organizations and groups expected to be held accountable for solutions to the evolving nursing crisis are included.
