Abstract
Three nurses currently serve as members of Congress and are running for reelection in 2000. Three other nurses initiated campaigns for Congressional seats in 2000. As American nurses become increasingly politically astute, it is vital that they be aware of nurses who are running for federal office, as well as how they can become involved in influencing the political process.
