Abstract
Medulla blastomas are known to be invasive and rapidly growing tumors. This case study follows a boy’s journey for 3 years from when he was first diagnosed with medulla blastoma. The journey illustrates the complexities and challenges faced by individuals treated for brain tumors. A multifaceted view based on psychometric, cognitive-neuroscience, and humanistic approaches can be beneficial during the assessment and intervention of children with a similar diagnosis. The article also highlights how family and society both play an important role in an individual’s quality life. The boy’s journey is presented through the lens of a speech-language pathologist.
