This work deals with the fire behaviour of unsaturated polyester resin-based composites and with the influence of glass-fibre level on limiting oxygen index and oxygen consumption (in particular the rate of heat release). The combustion products are identified. 65 wt.% reinforcement allows reasonable FR properties using a first generation type resin.
