Abstract
An account is given of recent developments in the preparation of dihydroxy terminated poly(hexafluoropropylene oxide) and its conversion into elastomeric networks with either triazine or urethane crosslinks. Mechanical, dynamic mechanical and thermal properties of the networks are described. Reference is made to the wider field of perfluorinated elastomers, concentrating on those in which main-chain oxygen atoms contribute to chain flexibility.
