Abstract
High quality polyaniline nanostructures with good anti-corrosion performance were synthesized using rapidly mixed reaction method in the presence of sulfur acid as dopant and ammonium persulfate as oxidant. The morphology of product, structure of molecular and anticorrosion performance were characterized by SEM, FTIR, UV-Visible and electrochemical measurement. It showed that polyaniline nanostructures had fibers morphology and the average diameter of nanofibers was 60 to 100 nm and the length was 500 nm to several micrometers. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy revealed that the polyaniline nanofibers could protect mild steel from corrosion for a certain period.
