The hospital ward environment poses challenges for health promotion which will require not only increased multiprofessional collaboration, but a new appreciation of the capabili ties of each member of the ward team. This paper discusses the application of one model of health promotion suitable for use in this setting and highlights the advantages of utilising such an approach.
