Abstract
IN 1987, NIGERIA embarked on family health initiative as a matter of policy to improve maternal and child health. The prevalent rate of use of modern method of contraceptives for the whole nation is about 6% whereas the figure for high school teachers in Remo division of Ogun state is 44.8%. High school teachers are respected in the various communities and occupy middle grade socio-economic status. As the link between the youths and the adult population there is a role for them to play in the family health initiative in the country.
