Abstract
THIS PAPER describes how a community in Nigeria learnt to appreciate the inter-relationsh ips between poor sanitation and health as a result of health education intervention for a period of 12 months. The results have been encouraging, as the com munity has begun to use simple technologies such as drum and mud incinerators for the burning of refuse.
