Abstract
Some proposals from memory studies underline the potential of employing the sociological tool of the field. According to these authors, field analysis allows us to get closer to past struggles and determine the particular logic and mnemonic practices in each context. In this article, we describe the construction of the anamnestic-political field that is both the empirical referent and the analytical strategy in an ethnography that attempts to study the intersection between memory and the political at a time after decades of political violence in the case of Navarre. In this respect, we rescue the process of delimitation and definition of the main elements that shape it.
