Abstract
A new approach to the problem of the discrete design of laminated composite plate with account taken of strength is presented. The solution of the design problem for a laminated plate possessing the required set of stiffnesses and strength is developed. A mathematical solution of the problem and the algorithms to compute the designs are provided. The developed algorithms make it possible to solve a new type of design problem. Several numerical examples illustrating the possibilities of the developed algorithms and programs are presented.
