Abstract
Abstract
The study that has been carried out concerns the modal analysis of two multilayered orthotropic plates made of Rovimat and 290 g material Fabric, both glass fibre polyester materials. The Rovimat rectangular plate is clamped on all its edges whereas the Fabric 290 g rectangular plate is clamped on only one edge. Having first identified the mechanical properties of the two materials by ultrasonic characterization, the natural frequencies of the structure were then estimated with the help of the finite element computation software ANSYS and the analytical model (classical laminated plate theory). These results are then compared with experimental results, obtained using a fast Fourier transform analyser and an impact hammer.
