Abstract
The key focus of this note is the changing pattern of such coverage in the Tasmanian press over the period of nearly two decades and four environmental debates. The analysis provides an illustration of the dynamics of press coverage and changing relationship between the environment movement and the daily press. It is suggested that a symbiotic relationship has developed between the Tasmanian green movement and the press. The formation of this relationship has been associated with important changes in the pattern of coverage of the environmental debate in the daily press.
