Abstract
In this work, we use a recently developed thermodynamical scheme for the modeling of magnetization and magnetic hysteresis. This paper aims at a formulation of magnetomechanical effects on magnetization and magnetic domain structures in single crystalline cubic ferromagnets. With the appropriate identifications, these relations can be considered as an equivalent thermodynamical basis for Chen's theory. Time-dependent effects and rate-independent effects are investigated. An integro-differential equation for the change in domain structures is obtained. The phenomenon of stress induced magnetization is also demonstrated.
