A deformable and defective semiconductor is described within a nonclassical thermodynamical model. The analysis of the entropy inequality is done with the help of Liu's theorem while the constitutive theory is formulated based on isotropic polynomial representations of the proper constitutive functions. The obtained results are applied to considerations in the coupled electronic-dislocation system.
