This paper presents the electromagnetic field analysis including the motional electromotive force in a rotating electric machine. In this analysis, the boundary element method is applied to the synchronous generator. The method takes the effect of the relative motion between the field winding and the armature winding into account. From the results, the behavior of the magnetic field due to the armature reaction was clarified.
