Abstract
We have studied electromagnetic and electromechanical problems of a superconductive magnetically levitated vehicle by numerical simulations. From the numerical analysis on the electromechanical phenomena in the superconducting magnet of the EDS-LSM Maglev vehicles, we have found that the dynamic coupling of electromagnetic and mechanical vibrations causes the enhancement of the eddy current loss in the cryostat around the mechanical resonance frequency, and the rigidity or elasticity of the support structure seriously affects the electromagnetic phenomenon in the magnet. Moreover the spatial error field is inevitable when the long-distance guideway is really constructed and the error field can seriously cause the driving force to the mechanical vibration in the magnet.
