Two kinds of magnetic fluid sensors are described. An accurate inclinometer allows angle measurements as low as 10−6 rad. A new accelerometer, without any mobile mechanical element is developed and tested in both laboratory and seismic sites. This unexpensive system is very sensitive (5 × 10−4ms−2) and has the definite advantage to be simple to build.
