Abstract
The usefulness of sophisticated analysis programs increasingly hinges on the convenience of using them. In this light, parallelism has been exploited in recent times to make these programs solve problems rapidly.
This paper briefly reviews the parallel algorithms used in speeding up electromagnetic field analysis programs and identifies additional areas to which new research effort may be fruitfully directed so as to exploit even further the capabilities of these new machine architectures.
