Abstract
In this paper, a new design method using the boundary element method (BEM) is presented. Some kinds of the optimum design method using the boundary element method have ever been reported [1, 2]. However, the most important relation between the variation of the boundary shape and the flux density has hardly been described and is not sure.
In this method, the above relative equation which is based on the integral equation of the boundary element method is derived from the Taylor expansion and is represented. The iterative calculation using the least square method is used for the determination of the shape modification.
As an example, this method is applied to the three-dimensional problem of the determination of the core's shape of an electromagnet to generate a uniform field.
