Abstract
One of the methods for describing arbitrary magnetization processes mathematically is to utilize the particle distribution function on the Preisach diagram, in which a magnetic material is assumed to be composed of magnetic dipoles having rectangular hysteresis loops. By incorporating 2D magnetic field analysis based on a finite element method with the diagram, we have developed a new analysis program. It can be applied to the analysis of a magnetic circuit with hysteresis phenomena of magnetic materials at static field. We calculated the reproducing output characteristics in perpendicular magnetic recording; the results obtained were in better agreement with experimental results than those obtained by conventional methods.
