Abstract
The existing coil electromagnetic launcher, such as coil gun, adopts the design of a tubular coil structure, and the ammunition loading efficiency is low. In this paper, a continuous acceleration propulsion system based on an opening electromagnetic launcher is proposed. An opening electromagnetic launcher with a certain amount of electromagnetic energy is obtained by “opening” the traditional spiral O-shaped coil. Based on the single-stage electromagnetic launcher, the motion model of the opening electromagnetic launcher is established, and the magnetic induction intensity and force of the projectile during the movement are analyzed. Finally the performance of the opening electromagnetic launcher is verified through simulation comparison, and its feasibility is proved.
