Abstract
Comparative studies of two communities, one in Sweden and one in Canada, regarding the frequency of psychiatric disorders in relation to sociocultural factors were carried out by D. C. LEIGHTON, O. HAGNELL, A. H. LEIGHTON, et al. The impact of each culture on its members appears to affect the pattern of more or less pyschiatric disorders in the two settings. The difficulties of studies of this nature are stressed.
