Abstract
B. MAOZ and his co-workers describe the results of a key informant type mental health survey of an isolated Israeli community. Nearly all the adults of the community were immigrants. Differences in the rates of psychiatric disorders between the various groups of immigrants are discussed. W. BAZZOUI and I. AL-ISSA survey the cultural background of mental illness in Iraq, the clinical features of the more common disorders encountered and the scope of psychiatric services in the country.
