Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neuromuscular disease that is often viewed as untreatable. Although no specific treatment for this disease is available, there are important treatable diseases to be considered in the differential and treatable conditions that co-exist or complicate the course of the illness. In this article, we review our current management of patients with ALS.
